Trap Them Announce New 12” EP

American death metal/punk quartet Trap Them have announced a new 12″ EP, Filth Rations.

No release date set as of yet, Filth Rations will feature 4 new tracks recorded exclusively for Southern Lord Records and will be available in vinyl format exclusively.

Filth Rations will be a one-sided 12″ with etching by artist Justin Bartlett on side B. with all tracks being engineered by Kurt Ballou at God City Studios

We’re already citing triple threat status for this release:

1. Trap Them have been batting a .1000 with solid release after solid release since their inception in 2006. Decibel Magazine recently ranked Trap Them’s 2008 release Seizures in Barren Praise one of the Top 100 Greatest Metal Albums of the Decade. We expect nothing less from Filth Rations.

2. Kurt Ballou is at the recording helm. For those of you living under a rock for the past decade – Kurt Ballou’s trademark & gargantuan analogue sound can be heard on some of the most important underground albums of all time including Cave In – Until Your Heart Stops (1999), Converge – You Fail Me (2004), No Heroes (2006), Axe to Fall (2009), Modern Life Is War – Witness (2005), Rise and Fall – Into Oblivion (2006), Genghis Tron – Dead Mountain Mouth (2006), The Hope Conspiracy – Death Knows Your Name (2006), Coliseum – No Salvation (2007)..to name a few.
